October 17th, 2015, unforgettable day for me especially and to all participants of the Photo Marathon's event which was held in three cities from the world; Beirut. Naples and for the first time in Tunis. I woke up early in the morning and it was the weekend, you may say that I had an great energy to be ready all the day that it was really abnormal hot and very sunny. Hopefully I wasn't alone but with my dear friend and colleague Ghassen, we encouraging both to participate to this competition for the big love of the world of the photography. We arriving to the official local where we all going to start at 9 am. A dozens of Photo Marathoners were ready, I and Ghassen when we entered the local and seeing them having a professional cameras, we were really afraid at first glance, just because funnily we are coming with our smartphones no more 7 Mp for the image quality... But then, I told my friend that we must be strong for the reason that we are the only candidates we're going to spend about 12 hours between the streets and must confidently ending the adventure with success and no problem that we will win nothing. Just like this we started the challenge by completing our 12 themes in 12 hours, happening at the same time in three capitals... *NOTE: To see my photos I participated with please direct your mouse to "PHOTOGRAPHY" section in the site, the open "PHOTO MARATHON" page, a new tab will open that contains my profile of the event.
So, it was about 10 pm, mission accomplished, we were so tired of walking of miles in the streets, looking for the nice and smart picture that matches with our subjects in the hands, we sometimes are arresting by the police asking us why are we capturing things are not allowed to do... Some difficulties we are facing during the Photo Marathon's day, that enables me from time to time to take a photo secretly for the success of mission, I was obliged to do like that, if not I'll get failed...
WHAT WAS THE PHOTO "MARATHON"?
FRAME, L’Asilo, and Pacte Tunisien are teaming up to bring you the 2015 Photo Marathon. Across the Mediterranean region, photographers will take to the streets to simultaneously document 12 themes in 12 hours resulting in a collection of photos depicting one day in the life of Beirut, Naples, and Tunis. Together, we will document our cities, people, and communities to produce a rich archive through the eyes of large and diverse groups. The photos that are produced over the span of 12 hours will provide a rich resource to learn about each other and to spot our similarities and differences through the creativity and language of photography.

From this great and beautiful short experience but with a long day of the photography with my simple smartphone I have used during the competition, I have learned so many things, like being patient and really smart with just not having a professional camera and high quality but you need to control your time wisely and the exact time of taking a picture as how you want it to be...
Big and special thanks to the organizers of the Photo Marathon from Tunisia, Zeineb and Sarah Ben Hamadi, Asma Azzabi from le Pacte Tunisien and all other members I can't really remember their names, mentioning the IgersTunisia page on Instagram.
